Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, OAK Nights have been suspended for the time being. As the situation continues to change, I’ll re-evaluate regularly and be sure to send an update when they resume!

Join me for an evening of outdoor adventure inspiration & education! This monthly event centers on an outdoor adventure topic, as well creates an opportunity to meet others in our adventurous community.

No previous experience or special gear needed! This is open to all skill levels; if you’re already hiking & otherwise adventuring in the outdoors, this information will aid you in empowering others to get out there, too! Entry to the event begins at 6pm; the educational presentation will begin at 6:30pm, with time for additional discussion immediately following.

Previous OAK Nights:

April 8th, 2020: Join us ONLINE for an evening of outdoor adventure inspiration & education! For the month of April, I’ll be sharing Birding Basics that will help you spot, identify, and enjoy feathered friends from urban back yards to distant back country locations. Bird watching is a fun activity for all ages, and is easy to get started on.

March 11th, 2020: For the month of March, we’ll be talking with our friends at Discovering Wilderness about creating trailside meals using freezer bag cooking. More information will be shared closer to the event! More information TBD as we get closer to the event.

February 12th, 2020: For the month of February, we’ll be talking about first aid kits: what to pack to be prepared, including a peek at my own first aid kit and how I change it up for different adventures.

January 8th, 2020: For the month of January, we’ll talk about essential parts of a successful adventure itinerary. This isn’t just for you, the adventurer, but for those who are waiting for you to return safely home, too!

December 11th, 2019: For the month of December, we’ll be sharing must-know tips for amazing winter adventures. And it wouldn’t be a PNW Winter Warmup without hot chocolate and all the fancy fixings!

November 13th, 2019: This month, I’m pleased to have Sarah DeGrave Movement with me to give you a boost out of your armchair! We’ll talk about how to get your body moving & ready for outdoor adventures. Sarah is a Nutritious Movement certified Restorative Exercise Specialist. She is passionate about helping people regain the strength and mobility needed to move with confidence and ease through the use of natural movement.  

October 16th, 2019: Join me for an evening of outdoor adventure inspiration & celebration! This month, we’re celebrating one year of The Outdoor Adventure Kind! Registration & FREE admission includes refreshments & cupcakes. Entry to the event begins at 6pm.

September 25th, 2019:

Join me for an evening of outdoor adventure inspiration & education! For September’s event, I’m excited to be sharing stories and pictures from my adventures on the Wonderland Trail (Mt. Rainier); I’ll also give some practical advice from my experiences to help you achieve your own adventure goals. Entry to the event begins at 6pm; the educational presentation will begin at 6:30pm, with time for additional discussion from 7-8pm.

August 14th, 2019: Join us for an evening of outdoor adventure inspiration & education! For the month of August, I’ll be joined by special guest My Dark Sparkly Heart artist Angelique King. We’ll look at connecting with the outdoors as inspiration for artistic creativity. No previous experience or special gear needed! This is open to all skill levels; if you’re already hiking & otherwise adventuring in the outdoors, this information will aid you in empowering others to get out there, too!

July 10th, 2019: Join us to discuss seasonal safety tips for Adventures During Forest Fire Season. No previous experience or special gear needed!
